GCL is a Fiberglass grid bonded to a light weight Nonwoven geotextile of equivalent or less than 40g/m2. It performs a dual function of reinforcement and acting as a water proofing barrier protecting the asphalt layer from water ingress. The bonded geotextile is applied directly on the tack coat enabling hassle-free installation. The tack coat absorbed by the geotextile bonds with the asphalt bituminous course.
